Day 2 of the WKC_World_Championship another day that did not disappoint , the whole #Ken_Shu_Dojo_Karate_Squad came to support there Seniors / Senseis who did not disappoint .. some of the hardest categories ive seen in the adults for some time .

Sensei Brad was 1st up , pressure was on when i say 1st i mean 1st up whole comp .... a stunning performance of the Kata Anan saw him Medal with a well deserved Silver just missing gold by .1 ( point one ) winner was last years World Champion no shame in that , Sensei Mand was in two sections and meddled Silver and Gold in both saving her best performance of Sienchin for the gold ( could of been two golds but i know she always wanted a silver , well you have one now Mand !! ) .

Sensei James was made to Wait a while and was last up of the Ksd Seniors just Like Sensei Brad another Stunning performance of Nipaipo , Sensei James just missed top honours also with another .1 of Gold and again the winner was the last years world champion , fab day ... thnaks to all who came to support us all weekend guys we really do have an awesome little Karate club

WKC World Championships day 1 

 

back in Jan 11 Members qualified for the end of year World Championships as part of the Nationals , they Qualified to Represent WKC Team England a huge honour 

 

Today was Day 1 more tomorrow 

 

Day began with the usual nerves , onto the Opening Ceremony that brought the hairs on the neck to attention and a lump in the throat , i was so proud to see the KSD Karate Whitefield guys walking in as part of the England team .

 

after an awards ceremony for well deserving WKC members was awesome being part of that and seeing an 8th Dan awarded was special .

 

the comp itself saw Sensei Daz on the Kata Judging , Sensei James n Brad running Traditional Karate Kumite as Referees , Guys amazing job showing the strength indepth and experience we have to be asked .

 

i am so Proud of the Guys who trained so hard prior that hard work really did pay off were pleased to announce 

 

4 Gold Medals - Kumite - Katie Royle , Celeste Mcintyre , Kata - Jack Symons , Jessica Clarke 

 

2 Silver Medals - Kumite - Olivia Holden , Kata - Bethany Castle 

 

2 Bronze Medals -    Kata - Dylan Kenyon , Team Pairs Kata - Katie Royle & Darcie Griffiths 

 

Awesome guys , thanks to all the parents and well wishers for an amazing day , back tomorrow for the Seniors another sleepless night .

Next weekend we have 10 members representing the WKC Team England at there World Championship  today was the last Squad specific session , after 5 hard weeks training towards there goals , Sensei Daz is also in the Pic Sensei has again been asked to Judge on the day ( Sadly a bad thing for his guys as he is harsh ) , good luck to all Members , remember Respect , be humble try your best leave nothing to chance !
